TITAN Greece offers an excellent opportunity for an Accounting Supervisor to join our team in our Head Office in Athens. Reporting to the Accounting Manager for Greece Region Subsidiaries, the primary scope of this role is to supervise the activities of the general accounting functions for Interbeton.
Main Accountabilities
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations for accurate fiscal period closing
- Review monthly journal entries and reconciliations for the central accounting department, ensuring proper documentation to support relevant balances
- Guarantee timely, accurate, and complete accounting records
- Supervise the posting and maintenance of general ledger accounts and adjustments
- Manage intercompany reconciliations
- Monthly preparation of P&L Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement including Notes to the Financial Statements per IFRS
- Participate in the design of standard accounting procedures, based on IFRS and local GAAP frameworks, submitting proposals to the Accounting Manager
- Contribute to the standardization of accounting procedures
- Support general accounting functions
- Stay updated with professional development activities to keep abreast of changing IFRS and regulatory framework
Candidate Profile
- University degree in Accounting or Finance or related field
- 4-6 years of experience in an audit firm (Big 4 preferably)
- Holder of a professional certification such as ACCA or CIMA (or studying towards it)
- Good knowledge of taxation legislation and reporting systems is desirable
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is desirable
- Strong understanding of IFRS is required
- Experience in the preparation or audit of financial statements
- Ability to interact with other individuals at all levels of management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel
- Fluent in Greek and English (both oral and written)
- Military Service fulfilled (if applicable)
