We are looking for our new
Sales Engineer: Hydrology/hydraulics
Turbulent brings clean and affordable electricity to remote locations by pioneering
in low head hydropower. Our turbines are compact and easy to install, whatever the
site conditions. We are actively looking to expand our sales team in Leuven with a Sales
Engineer who has a background in hydrology and hydraulics. The ideal candidate is a
dynamic and motivated individual with experience working on commercial and sales
operations.
About the position:
The primary responsibility of the Sales Engineer will be to use their expertise to prepare
technical and financial proposals, develop and maintain relationships with existing and
potential customers, working closely with them to identify their needs and recommend
appropriate solutions.
The Sales Engineer will also be responsible for carrying out site analysis and feasibility
studies together with the engineering team by providing technical expertise to drive
revenue growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers, identifying their needs and recommending appropriate solutions.
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and modeling for feasibility studies of hydropower projects and to support sales efforts.
- Use computational fluid dynamics applications such as OpenFOAM to analyze and
- Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure that hydropower systems meet customer requirements and are designed to industry standards
- Provide technical expertise to customers in the planning and design of hydropower
Develop and deliver technical presentations and proposals to customers, explaining
the benefits of our products and services.

Qualifications:
- MSc degree in civil engineering with specialization in hydraulics, hydrology or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant wok experience in hydrology .
- Experience in commercial sales in the related industry
- Experience in computational fluid dynamics software such as OpenFOAM and has
- Strong technical knowledge of hydrology and hydraulic modeling.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a
- Willingness to travel as needed.
