We're gearing up for our busiest period with summer around the corner and will be employing multiple Onboard Service Crew on a fixed term part-time basis for a period of three to six months. Ideally you'll be able to mid September or early October and work through till approximately the end of March 2024.

About the role
Reporting to the Crew Development Manager, our Onboard Services Crew role is an entry level position onto our fleet of speed passenger vessels. In the role you will showcase your hospitality skills behind our onboard café and provide a very high standard of customer service to both tourists and our regular commuters, whilst also participating in marine drills and learning invaluable skills for future employment.
You'll be tasked with:
- Providing the highest level of customer service and bar and café services to customers
- Promoting our products and providing accurate information on our services
- Ensuring the vessel is ready for boarding by cleaning all areas and restocking products
- Demonstrating a commitment to health and safety measures onboard.
For success you'll need to:
- Must be over age of 18 to be considered for this role as you will be selling alcohol
- Be passionate about customer service, the customer experience and tourism/maritime industry
- Be punctual, reliable and take pride in your appearance
- Be able to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Have a good level of maturity with the ability to work under pressure
- Have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
About the hours of work
- $24.49 per hour
- Rotating roster (no set pattern) including public holidays and weekends
- Need to be available from September (shift based, rotating roster)
- Need to be able to able and willing to work over the Christmas and New Years period
- Hours of work fall between 6am - 10.30pm to enable the use of public transport as we don't have parking available onsite. If you have your own transportation it can be extended past midnight (till around 2am).
